This panel turns democracy into a subscription you cannot cancel. The letter is polite, the language is clean, and that is what makes it ugly. Public will is not overturned with drama. It is processed, filed, and quietly replaced.
The renewal notice lists the insult in plain text: policies you opposed, included anyway; war, added as bonus content; payment, taken automatically. The joke lands because it feels familiar. People keep being told they live in a system of choice while opening invoice after invoice for decisions they never made.
What hurts is the calm of it. Nobody needs to shout. Nobody needs to hide the charge. The machine already knows that outrage fades faster than direct debit, and that most people are left paying for the opposite of what they asked for.
BUT WHY:
This is part of an experiment: we are keeping count of how many scenes it takes before we agree that leaders with real power should prove they are psychologically fit to hold it.
By turning our instincts and hive habits into animals, the project asks why we still let untested nervous systems run entire societies.
In a world where one unstable nervous system can scale to entire institutions, this project treats Reptilocracy as the cartoon diagnosis and points to one concrete step: the Change.org petition (Stronger Checks and Balances: Psychological Fitness for Australia’s Top Leaders).
